College of the Rockies Programs

The Colleges of the Rockies provide their own distinctive programs and mostly adult basic education. It provides a wide range of courses leading to Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees.

College of the Rockies Residence

The Cranbrook campus, near the main entrance of the Kootenay center, offers on-site housing.

  • Students can live in two distinct housing districts. 100 students can enroll in the new campus, which is made up of a two-story and three-story building.
  • The Purcell residence is located near a variety of restaurants and major roads.
  • You have easy access to biking, hiking, and other physical activities. Shopping services are conveniently available. Students can also avail off-campus housing facilities nearby the college.

Each residence hall is well-equipped. Apartments may be rented, depending on their availability and budget. The cost is around 1300 - 1800 CAD per month with utilities cost included in the rentals.

Students must complete the online application and pay the prescribed application fee in order to be considered for admission to the College of the Rockies. You must accept the offer of admission and pay tuition fees before applying for a Canada Study Permit. To apply for the housing, applicants are required to submit scanned copies of paperwork.

Work While Study in Canada

A study permit allows foreign students with a SIN number to work and study in Canada. Students can get their SIN number by visiting the Canada Access Center Office with a valid passport and study permit. Students can work up to 20 hours a week while classes are being held, and 40 hours a week during breaks. It is applicable only to full time students.

College of the Rockies Undergraduate Admissions

The College of the Rockies offers a wide range of programs in University Studies, Health, Child Youth and Family Studies, Trades, Recreation, Tourism, Business, and Computer Science. Colleges of the Rockies also offer associate degrees which are equivalent to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree in Arts or in Science. With the dual admission agreements, students can complete the rest of the degree in UVIC, ULeth or Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
