Northern Alberta Institute of Technology located in Edmonton has been providing excellent Higher education in Canada to students for the past 50 years. Programs, Campus and Accommodation

Campus

  • There are four campuses of the institute out of which 3; Main, Patricia, and South campus are in Edmonton and Spruce Grove Crane and Hoist campus are in Spruce Grove.
  • The campus has facilities such as on-campus dining, online shopping, parking, etc.
  • Moreover, the institute has more than 70 student clubs and organizations. Also, they have student-run media consisting of News TV shows, NAIT newspapers, and NR92 radio shows.
  • The main campus has the HP center, Centre of applied sciences, and other facilities. The Patricia campus has the School of Skilled trades, Souch campus has training programs such as iron maker, boilermaker, plate fitter, etc. The Spruce Grove campus houses the Crane and Hoisting Equipment Operator apprentice programs.

Residence/Housing facilities

  • The Northern Alberta Institute of Technology does not offer on-campus housing to its students. Housing is available at the campus residences of the University of Alberta and MacEwan University.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

Since the official language of instruction at NAIT is English, all non-native English speaker candidates must prove their English Proficiency as per NAIT’s requirements. There are two ways to fulfill the English proficiency requirements:-

  • Previous Academic Study – Students must submit their official transcripts reflecting their previous academic studies in English along with the admission application. Students belonging to English Language Proficiency Exempt Countries are not required to submit any documents.
  • ESL Examination – Students who are unable to provide necessary transcripts as proof of English Language Proficiency must take the ESL examination as the formal assessment. The exam scores will remain valid for two years after the test date.

Immigration & Visa Requirements

International candidates wishing to study in Canada for more than six months must obtain a Study Permit. In order to apply, students must have the following documents:-

  • A complete application form
  • An acceptance letter from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).
