Campus

  • The main location of Martin Luther University Hospital is at Ernst Pit Road, Halle.
  • The main campus of Martin Luther University is the Weinberg Campus which comprises an art-historical and museological research center.

Admission Process

Formed by the merger of the University of Wittenberg and the Friedrichs University of Halle, Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg is the largest and oldest university in Saxony-Anhalt. It provides nearly 260 programs in humanities, social sciences and medical sciences. The university is home to more than 20,806 students with 1,745 international students.

Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg accepts fresh applications for the summer and winter semesters. Most programs offered at Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg are offered in the winter semester only. More than half of the courses at the university have no admission restriction. In case of courses with limited seats, average Abitur grade is the most important admission consideration.

The admission process for most of the courses starts in mid-August for the winter semester and mid-February for the summer semester. English language proficiency of at least level B2 is required for admission to programs with English as the medium of instruction.
