Admission Process

Konstanz University of Applied Science, Germany is a modern technical university, offering interdisciplinary programs in Engineering, Science, Management, Technology, and Legal Studies. The university offers 19 Bachelor and 17 Master degree courses in 20 technical and professional fields. All the courses are offered in the German language (except International programs).

German Proficiency Requirement for programs offered in German:

  • The applicants eligible for direct admission should have passed TestDAF (4.0) or DSH-2 for German language proficiency.

  • The applicant without any of the above qualification should undertake a qualification examination conducted by StudienKolleg to prove their language proficiency.

English Proficiency Requirement for programs taught in English:

Non-EU/EEA students applying for international programs should have qualified minimum B2 level in the English language.

Visa Requirements for International Students

The applicant should apply for the German residence permit for studying, at the earliest, with the following documents.

  • Certification of recognition from the university or Invitation letter from the StudienKolleg.
  • Proof of financial credentials.
  • Proof of German proficiency skills.
  • Health insurance policy.

Upon approval, the applicant should register the same with the local registration office and the immigration office within 8 days of arriving in Germany.

The applicants from 51 partner universities in 26 countries are accepted for admission through an exchange program.

  • The applicant will be admitted to the fourth semester.
  • The selection process is conducted in the home university.
  • The selection is based on grades in qualifying exams, WDT test, and personal interview.
  • The applicant should attend the preliminary course conducted by the university, before admission.

International applicants should contact the Centre for International Students (Studienkolleg Konstanz), before applying with the university to validate their German Language Skills and School Diplomas. The candidate should use the validation letter from Centre for International Students to apply for courses at the University.
