Witten/Herdecke University (UW/H) is the first German private institute to receive accreditation as a Universitat. Witten/Herdecke University Financial Aids

Students at Witten Herdecke University do not have to finance their studies until they start earning. The StudierendenGesellschaft(SG) in partnership with the Witten Herdecke University offers students to finance their studies in three ways:

  • Income-related repayment – With this ,students pay their fees as soon as they start earning money after graduation. The financial contribution will depend on their income and over a contractually fixed period. Students whose decisive income is below 21,000 EUR are exempted from repayment.
  • Fixed direct payment – This option enables students to pay a fixed monthly amount which sums up to the average contributions made by those choosing the income-related repayment.
  • Later and direct payment by halves – This mode of payment combines the above two options. Here, the fixed monthly payment and the repayments percentage are both reduced to half. The remaining amount needs to be repaid by the students after their graduation.

Witten Herdecke University Work-Study

International students can work part-time while studying and are allowed to work 120 full days or 240 half days per year. However, students who work as academic assistants do not have any such restrictions. Jobs can be found through the Federal Employment Agency. Off-campus jobs often include waiting tables, courier service etc.
