About Southern Asia Bible College - [SABC]
Southern Asia Bible college is a private theological institution of the Assemblies of God. The institution is located in a town called Kothanur in Bengaluru City. The institution was founded in 1951 by Alfred Cawston with an aim to train people for the Christian ministry in all of Southern Asia. The institution is also the founder of the Asia Theological Association(ATA). The institution is also part of The Evangelical Fellowship of India and the Association for Evangelical Theological Education in India which works as a voice for the poor and oppressed. Currently, the institution is one of the most reputed bible colleges in the country.
Southern Asia Bible college offers courses such as Doctor of Ministry, Master of Divinity, Masters of Arts, and Diploma in Christian Ministry which are all accredited by the Asia Theological Association(ATA).

Admission at the Southern Asia Bible College is offered on the basis of both marks obtained in the previous examination and in some courses through the entrance examination.

Financial Subsidy
- All the students studying in the college enjoy some extent of financial subsidy. The students have to provide some kind of proof of financial problems to get the financial subsidy.
Work-Study Programme
- Students who have poor financial need, and want to work and support themselves will be provided with opportunities to do the same. The students can apply to the work-study programme any time in the duration of their course. The number of hours permitted for work depending on the academic load and academic performance of the students. The students are permitted not more than 18 hours a week for work.
Scholarship Awards
- These scholarships are awarded based on merit, financial needs, and other factors changing as per different scholarships. The scholarship money is mainly used for the academic requirements but the remaining amount can be used by the students. The college last year awarded more than 125 scholarships to students which were Rs 25,000 per annum and more.

The Cawston Learning Resource Centre
- The Cawston Learning Resource Centre is a modern computerized learning resource facility that has more than 40,000 books, periodicals, and other audio-visual resources which has made the learning process more interesting and easy. The resource center also has The mission resource center and the Pentecostal Study center which cater to other needs of the students who are under training.

- The college has hostels for single men, single women, and married students. All the hostels have their own wardens who are responsible for the working of the hostels. The hostel’s hygiene and cleanliness are well taken care of by the appointed staff.
