Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) established in the year 2005, is a well-reputed and Autonomous Medical College set up by the Government of Karnataka. The institute is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). Ii is also approved by the Medical Council of India. With a campus spread over 25 acres, the Institute offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in medical science. MIMS Karnataka offers the prestigious MBBS course with four and a half years of medical study and 1 year of internship training. It has 85 seats reserved for Karnataka students and the rest of the 15 for All India quota students. Given below is the UG course provided by MIMS and its eligibility and duration.

The institute offers admission through merit scored in respective entrance examinations. For UG courses, NEET score is required and for PG courses, one should have appeared for NEET PG.

Admission into MIMS is done through All India Medical Counselling as All India Quota of 15 MBBS seats and remaining seats through Karnataka State medical counseling State as State Quota of 85 seats, conducted by State medical authorities. Every year the institute conducts admission for the students on the basis of cut off declared by them and aspirants who apply for the Institute need to clear the Cutoff for various courses.

The college does not offer placement opportunities. As an MBBS/MS/MD graduate, the doctor needs to find work in the form of internships and jobs in hospitals. A doctor is expected to begin with their own practice. But the college does provide a lot of training facilities during the college years, especially in the internship.

Hostel: There is a hostel facility available for boys and girls. There are 154 rooms in each Hostel 2 students per room with Recreation Room facility, kitchen mess and contains a House Library (Proposed) and all the necessary amenities, etc.
Hospital/medical facilities: MIMS College & Hospital has a Bed Strength of approximately 650. Other facilities available are the Intensive Cardiac Care Unit (ICCU), Medical ICU, Respiratory, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, AC Labor Ward, Regional Diagnostic Lab.
Library: Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences has a fully Digital and Central Library with a seating capacity of 200. This Library has more than 9000 Books in different areas and subjects and an E-resource facility with Internet broadband (Wi-fi) connectivity is also available here.
Auditorium: The auditorium is well ventilated and quite spacious with a large number of comfortable seating arrangements. It can easily accommodate 500 people at a time.
Labs: The college has Hi-Tech Laboratories for students to apply their theoretical knowledge practically and to conduct experiments.
