Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Polytechnic College at Yanam was established by Government of Puducherry on 1996 along with 4 other polytechnic colleges in Puducherry. All these colleges got established with the sponsorship of the Puducherry State Government under administrative jurisdiction of Pondicherry Institute of Post Matric Technical Education (PIPMATE) governed by a General Body under the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education. The College offer diploma level course to the students in 3 specializations. The admission is done on merit basis in online mode.
