COE College Residence

Coe offers a wide range of residence varieties to their students:

  • Halls vary in style, size and personality.
  • Each hall facilitates vending machines, laundry facilities and at least one kitchen.

    • These are air-conditioned halls with bathrooms, Corian-surface countertops, sinks, showers, plumbing fixtures and lightings. The main lobby is provided with a big TV screen, 2 kitchens, tables, computers and comfy furniture.
  • College owned apartments:- (primarily for upper class students)
    • In this housing facility students can prepare their own meals or can also opt for a dining facility. Each apartment has 28-32 students. The apartments consist of single bedrooms, double bedrooms, a shared kitchen and a living space.
  • Greene Hall:- (for males)
    • Air-conditioned rooms with new sinks and lightings in bathrooms. It serves a house for 220 men consisting of 8 floors. It also has a television lounge and a game room.
  • Hampton court:- (80 students)
    • They are 2 buildings consisting of 39 apartment units. They are located in the main Street of Cedar rapids and have facilities like new kitchen countertops and cabinets, new appliances, energy-efficient windows, new lighting and a fresh coat of paint.
  • Kohawk Village:- (primarily for upperclassmen)
    • There are single rooms and double rooms with a shared bathroom. In this housing a comfortable lounge area is provided connecting male wings with female wings.
  • Murray (150 males and females 1st year through senior students)
    • It has nine floors with 2 elevators consisting of air-conditioned single and double rooms, 2 lounges on sides of the main entrance (including television and pool table), a kitchen, study tables and laundry facilities are available.
  • Voorhees:- (for 180 females)
    • t is Cow’s oldest residence having seven floors, and air-conditioned entirely. There are single, double and two-room quads.

COE College Programs

  • Coe provides students with internships, off-campus study and individual research.
  • Coe also provides opportunities where students can learn from industry and academic Professionals around the country and world.
  • Coe offers enhanced programs in which students can receive course credits at universities in France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Northern Ireland, Spain, Sweden and Thailand.
  • Offers a wide range of courses like Art, Biology, Business, English and creative writing, Foreign language, Mathematics and Computer Science, Music, Nursing, Pre-Engineering and many more.
  • Coe offers a First-Year Seminar program where prior emphasis is given to group discussion, small-class instructions and college writing.
  • Coe established the TRIO Academic Achievement Program in 1978. This program is for those students who lack education because of income, education background or some kind of disability.
  • College also organises summer camps.
  • Coe offers an undergraduate degree program. Enrolling in this program will graduate you with a BA degree.

COE College Scholarships

  • Aspirants seeking to enroll at the institute are encouraged to plan an estimated budget for international students looking to study in the US.
  • Coe College offers various Merit-based Scholarships and Need-based aid to the potential and outstanding students of the institution.
  • All the Scholarships are either renewable or one time grant by the College. However, for Merit-based scholarships students will need to submit their SAT score to be eligible for it.

Admission Process

Coe College offers degrees in more than 60 areas of study covering a range of fields. Coe College admissions commence in Fall and Spring sessions. The College has an extremely demanding entrance procedure and has an annual acceptance rate of 67%. During their time at Coe, every student participates in an internship, student research, community service project, or study abroad program. Over 40 off-campus study options are available at Coe. Professors with terminal degrees in their specialties make about 95 percent of the faculty at the college.

Students must provide additional papers such as a personal essay, recommendation letter, bank statement, SAT and ACT scores, IELTS, TOEFL, or TOEIC scores at the time of acceptance. Coe College Admission Deadlines

Coe College invites applications in the fall and spring semesters. International students are advised to apply early to gain greater consideration for admission. Below are the admission deadlines of Coe college:

  • Early Decision Plan – November 15: For students who know Coe is their top choice, this is a legally binding admission pledge. Within two weeks of submitting their application, students will be notified of their admission status.
  • Early Action Plan – December 10: This is a non-binding application. Within two weeks of submitting their application, students will be notified of their admission status.
  • Regular Decision Plan – March 1: This is a non-binding application.

  • Nonimmigrant Visa Application, Form DS-160 – Nonimmigrant Visa Application, Form DS-160 . To bring to your interview, you must first finish the online visa application and then print the confirmation page from the application form.
  • After completing the online Form DS-160, you will add your photo. Your photo must follow the guidelines outlined in the Photograph Requirements.

Ques. Is there a fee for applying, and if so, how much is it?

Ans. After December 10, regular decision paper applications will cost $30. There is never a processing fee for Early Action or online applications.

Ques. I’m an international student. Is it still necessary for me to take an English proficiency test?

Ans. Due to the cancellation of several TOEFL exams as a result of COVID-19, we are currently accepting Duolingo test scores for admission.

Ques. When will the acceptance letter be mailed and how long will it take to process an application?

Ans. Once the application is complete and the student is normally accepted, the process usually takes two to three weeks. Files that need to be reviewed by a committee may take longer. Regular Admission applications should be notified by March 15, and Early Action applicants should be notified by January 20.

Ques. Is there an honors program at Coe? What are the prerequisites for admission to Coe's honors program?

Ans. Students can apply for the honors program at Coe during their freshman year. The first-year Coe GPA, faculty recommendations, a writing sample, an interview, a review of First-Year Seminar work, the high school transcript, and ACT or SAT scores are used to determine admission.

Ques. My SAT/ACT, which was originally planned, was canceled. Will Coe exclude me from having the SAT or ACT?

Ans. ACT/SAT scores are not required for students seeking admission at Coe because of the school's test-optional policy. Select students can choose whether or not their standardized test scores (ACT/SAT) will be considered in the application screening process under the test-optional policy.
