Programs

The University of Wisconsin provides 41 Undergraduate majors, 7 undergraduate minors, 9 graduate and 1 doctoral degree. The university offers a doctoral degree only in First Nation Education. The university offers graduate courses in - Applied Biotechnology, Applied Leadership for training and learning, Athletic training, Data Science, Executive Impact MBA, and Sustainable Management among many others.

Campus

The University of Wisconsin features four campuses that cover about half of the Green Bay city, coastline also known as the World’s Largest Freshwater Ecosystem. 

  • Green Bay Campus -  Located in the heart of the city, it is the largest campus of the University and boasts a campus area of 700 acres in the Northeast side of Green Bay. Furthermore, it is home to the award-winning nine-hole golf course, five-mile recreational trail, and arboretum which boasts a 4,000 seater Student recreation center and nationally recognized performing art center. Being centrally located it is close to the Door County resort area and economies of Northeast Wisconsin, the I-43 corridor, and also the Fox Valley region.
  • Manitowoc Campus - The Manitowoc Campus has been part of the lakeshore of the Eastern coastline of the Green Bay city for more than 50 years and flaunts a 40 acre Campus area along the mesmerizing shoreline of Lake Michigan.

Accommodation

The University of Wisconsin, Green Bay offers three types of on-campus residence viz. Residential Halls, Private and Shared Room apartment.

Residential Halls - All the 11 Residential halls at the University of Wisconsin are fully furnished and offer all the basic amenities to those who are looking for student accommodation while studying. All the residential halls are co-ed and are open throughout the academic year of the University even including breaks. These include Roy Downham, Josephine Lenfestey, Donald Long, Bob Schaefer among many other residential halls.

Private Room Apartment - Private Room Apartments are co-educational and are open throughout the academic year. The apartments are fully furnished and consist of large bedrooms and other student amenities with complete emphasis on privacy for the students.

Shared Room Apartment - The University provides 9 Shared Room Apartment numbering from 3312-3334 under the Rodney W. De Spirito House. All the residential halls are co-ed and are open throughout the academic year.

Scholarships and Financial Aid

The university offers Phoenix Scholar Award that is divided into two parts- Gold and Silver. Student needs to pass certain criteria to be eligible for the scholarship.

nternational Gold Award- The International Gold Award waives the tuition fee by up to 5,000 USD. Either of the following criteria must be satisfied for one to be eligible for the grant-

  • A High School GPA in between 3.26 – 4.00 under the scale of 4.00 in local grade scale.
  • A High School GPA in between 2.75-3.25 under the scale of 4.00 in local grade scale along with significant extracurricular achievements.

International Silver Award- The International Silver Award holders are offered a tuition waiver of 3,000 USD which reduces one tuition fee further down to 12,728 USD. The following criteria must be satisfied to be eligible for the scholarship-

  • A High School GPA in between 2.75-3.25 under the scale of 4.00 in local grade scale.

Work While You Study

Admission Process

At University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB), admissions take place during the Fall and Spring sessions.
