Admission Process

North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCAT) admissions are fairly competitive with an acceptance rate of 58.3%. The university has a total of 3,342 international students. Prospective applicants can apply to the university in the Fall and Spring semesters. NCAT follows an admission policy set by the University of North Carolina System that requires limiting the number of out-of-state students in the entering freshman class to 25%.

Programs offered at NCAT include 54 undergraduate degree programs, 29 master’s programs, and 9 doctoral degree programs organised through its eight colleges & schools. NCAT Admission Deadlines

All international applicants willing to study in the US have a similar deadline for all undergraduate programs. Graduate programs have priority and general deadlines. US Visa Process & Requirements

International students require a student visa to study in the US. NCAT mails the I-20 form to students along with an official admission or acceptance letter to its accepted international students. Full-time students are required to obtain an F-1 student visa. The students need to pay the SEVIS I-901 fee and apply at a U.S. Embassy/ Consulate for the visa.

To obtain the F-1 visa, successful completion of the visa interview is mandatory. A US Consular Officer takes the interview. At the time of the interview, students need to make the interviewer believe their intention of returning to their home country after the completion of their studies in the US.
