University of Minnesota, Morris Undergraduate Admission

International applicants can proceed with the application process through the online application portal or through common application. International undergraduate applicants can apply for admission to University of Minnesota, Morris through the university application portal and common application. Admission Requirements: The required documents for admission to the university are listed below:

• Official transcripts: Applicant needs to get their school or college, last attending an education institute to send transcripts of the coursework, marksheets, certificates directly to the university’s mailing address.
• Financial Certificate: The applicant needs to show they have liquid funds they can access to cover the cost of attendance for one academic year.
• ELP Scores: Non-native English speakers need to submit their English proficiency test scores.

English Proficiency Requirements

For applicants whose native language or instruction of language is not English, they must demonstrate their English proficiency by achieving minimum requirement in one of the following tests tabulated below. The score of these tests must be sent to Morris directly from the college board.

Visa Application Process for International Students

After the applicant has been offered admission to University of Minnesota, Morris, they must fill out the confirmation form in order to receive the I-20 and official offer of admission. The I-20 form will be issued to the international students only when they submit the financial certificate demonstrating the adequate funds in their bank account.

In case the financial proof doesn’t show adequate financial resources, I-20 form will not be sent to the student. The applicant can submit bank statements not older than 6 months or sponsor letters. University of Minnesota Admission Decision

The application decision will be made on the basis how earlier each application is received and then reviewed. Students applying through Early action or regular deadline receive decision on the basis of one of following conditions:

• Admit: The student will be directly accepted to the university after his application is reviewed.
• Defer: The application has been reviewed but no decision has been made by the admission department. Such applications will be reviewed for the second time based on availability of space. Such candidates will receive admission Decision by march 31 either for admit, waiting list or decisions denied.
• Deny: Students who couldn't make it and are rejected during the freshman admission may apply as transfer students in the next semester or next year. Make sure, the admission through transfer is not guaranteed as the competition may be high. The students are advised to maintain a strong academic record in the previous semesters that they have pursued in other universities.
• Waiting List: The students who are academically successful but are put under a waiting list to limited seats. Candidates on the waiting list will receive a decision by mid-June. If space is available, the top few will be selected for admission.

• If application submit on November 1 for Early Action I: January 31
• If application submit on December 1 for Early Action II: February 15
• If application submit on January 1 for Early Action I: March 31
