Smith College is a distinguished liberal arts college committed to providing the highest quality undergraduate education for women. The college began more than 140 years ago in the mind and conscience of a New England woman. EKTA founded in 1987 is a proud and active South Asian Organization of Smith College. "EKTA" means "unity" in several languages spoken in South Asia. The organization aims to weave together its members' languages, cultures, faiths, and identities in order to form a community among South Asians studying at Smith. Smith College Admissions

Smith College considers a student’s capacity to contribute to the classroom and to the community more broadly while admitted. They also look at your transcript, recommendations, essay, and extracurricular activities to arrive at an admission decision. As COVID-19 impacts international students and Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)-certified schools, SEVP is yet to provide further information on international travel and visa related processes. For more information, go to US Government Student Visa 

However, the regular process is mentioned below as follows : 

  • International applicants can apply for a student visa to study in the USA right after an application letter is issued. Students whose applications have been approved will be issued the I-20 Form. 
  • The I-20 form can be obtained via FedEx, once the admissions process is completed.
