Illinois Dominican University Campus and Accommodation 

The scenic thirty-acre main campus of Illinois Dominican University is located in the River Forest which is a residential suburb area, situated ten miles west of downtown Chicago. They also offer classes at the Dominican Priory campus in River Forest, along with other sites in the Chicago area. Online classes are also provided.

The campus offers student housing in the US. There are four residence halls. Some of the other facilities are two theatres, rehearsal rooms, an art gallery, and fashion & dance studios. For food, the students can visit the Main Campus Dining Hall, Cyber Cafe and Priory Campus. The central library is about 70,000+ square-foot and it holds more than 300,000 materials.

Illinois Dominican University Residence

While studying abroad, living on-campus creates a bond between the student and the institute. It makes things more accessible, but also less complicated. From the library, classroom and labs, to the Cyber Cafe, Dining Hall and Fitness Centre, the student is able to experience most of his/her academic life during their days on the campus.

Student housing in the USA with the university is available through four residence halls. Both dorm and suite-style rooms are available. The residence options are Coughlin Hall or the Freshmen year students are offered Double Occupancy type rooms. Murray Hall for the Freshmen - Senior and Honors Community students are offered Double Occupancy and Suites type rooms.

Power/ Mazzuchelli Hall accommodates Sophomore, Junior, and Senior students in Singles, Doubles, and Triples types of rooms. A meal plan is to be purchased by the resident students as a part of the housing package.

Work while study

Though the opportunities for international students (F1) students are limited, there are few options that are available, they are mentioned below:

On-Campus Employment work up to 20 hours per week on-campus is allowed, they should be enrolled in a full course or other maintaining statuses. The application process is after 1st October. Usually, it is more common to work 10 hours or less per week. For this, the student needs to complete the necessary paperwork and provide their passport, I-94 and I-20, all these procedures are to be done through Human Resources. The Employment Authorization Document (EAD) is not required here.
