How to Apply?

• Step one is to meet with the Admissions Staff. If it is not possible for the applicant to physically come to the college, it is recommended to contact the Admissions Department at 888-956-2731 for a telephonic interview.
• Step two is to apply for FAFSA. This will assist you to find the best financial aid that is suitable according to your eligibility and the details you provide. It is important to apply before the deadlines for smooth operation of the same. The Code for American National University is 003726. You can then meet with your Admission Representative to discuss the best possible financial aid for you. Print a copy of the Student Aid Report (SAR) for your meeting with the FAFSA Advisor.
• Step three is to fill out an application for your course.
• Step four is the application review which will be done quickly.
• Once you receive your I-20, the student has to complete form I-901 and submit a 200 USD fee to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to be covered under the institution’s regular fund policy.

For international students planning to study in the US with American National University, here are the basic requirements that must be met:

American National University Transfer Admission

American National University offers a pool of transfer programs for international students. The Program agreements may either relate to joint programs or to the acceptance of academic credits earned in certain other specific eligible programs. The requirements to get into the transfer program are:

• Required GPA based on the preferred course.
• Transferable units completed before the beginning of transfer.
• Progress towards completion of major preparation requirements by term prior to transfer.
• I94, I20 and visa copies required for SEVIS transfer students.

The university offers an Intensive Alternate Program (hybrid programs) for international students that meet all SEVP requirements for students on F1 visa. The duration of the residencies are 4 days every 10 weeks for Graduate programs and the rest of the programs are offered online (via ZOOM conferencing as authorized by SEVP, during the coronavirus pandemic).

US Visa for International Students

The students who wish to study at American National University on-campus require a student visa. The eligibility requirements for admission require an i-20 form that is issued by the university after submission of a few essential documents. After acceptance, in order to receive an i-20 form, the following are required:

• Application fee which is 75 USD.
• International processing fee which is 50 USD.
• Passport size photograph of the student.
• Bank statement and letter of sponsorship.

Once American national university issues the i-20 form, students can proceed with the F-1 or J-1 student visa application and payment of the SEVIS fee. They need to contact the US Embassy/Consulate in their home country and know what documents are required to generate a student visa.

In order to acquire the student visa, a student must submit the following documents:

• Acceptance letter from American National University.
• I-20 form issued by the university.
• A valid passport that is valid for six months beyond the student’s period of stay in the US.
• Application fee payment for the student and exchange visitor information system.
• Non immigrant visa application. (SEVIS form I-901).
• Passport size photographs.
• All the necessary transcripts, diplomas, degrees and certificates.
• Financial documentation
• Scholarship to study in US/Sponsorship letter (If applicable)
• Evidence that the student will leave the US once the course is completed. It might include the ticket out of the US to the candidate’s home country.

You can be asked to appear for an interview, upon clearing the interview you will be granted a student visa.
