Sarasota-Manatee Campus is situated in a suburban area. It is located in the heart of Sarasota and Manatee Counties. The nation’s No.1 beach, Siesta Key, is located nearby the campus. There are more than 30 campus clubs and student organizations in the close-knit community of USFSM. There is also a campus cafe for the catering needs of students.

There is a Culinary Innovation Lab in USFSM that is a state-of-the-art teaching facility for Hospitality management programs students. The lab is fully equipped.Selby Auditorium, built-in 2006, is the main center for hosting events. There is also a 6900 feet student commons for students to study and relax.

Work While you Study 

On-Campus jobs are available to international students. They are allowed to work 20 hours per week during both semesters i.e. Fall and Spring. During vacations and breaks, international students can work full time (40 hours per week). International students must receive a USF-generated paycheck to classify their job as an on-campus job.

Alternatively, on-campus job locations necessarily offer essential student services to them for the job to qualify as on-campus employment. CPT and OPT programs are also available. As for off-campus employment, information about available job opportunities and internships can be retrieved from ‘Handshake’, a web-based job search system of USFSM.
