IHMCT Kovalam Admission

The admission criteria to IHMCT Kovalam is based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in the case of the 3-year B.Sc. program in Hospitality and Hotel Administration and is solely on the basis of merit in case of the Diploma courses in both Food Service and Food and Beverage Service.

For Admission in UG Courses

The candidate should download the application form from the official website of IHMCT Kerala (this will redirect the candidate to the NCHMCT website) or directly from that of the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT)
The candidate should get hold of the required documents and get them attested as per the requirements
The aspirant should submit the form along with the required application fee
Downloading the application form and printing it out for future reference is advised
Once submitted, the candidate should download the admit card from the online portal of the website
The aspirant should sit for the exam and meet the required cutoff along with the subsequent rank in order to be eligible for admission
Admission is solely based on the merit obtained in the NCHMCT JEE
Admission shall take place through web counseling

Food Production Labs: All the food production labs in IHMCT Kerala are completely equipped with every instrument and machine required for efficient training purposes. The food production labs are categorized into basic training kitchen, advanced training kitchen, quality training kitchen, bakery, and larder.
Training Restaurants: IHMCT Kerala has two training restaurants to provide expert training in hotel management. The training restaurants have occupant capacities of thirty and fifty people respectively.
Computer Lab: A computer lab has been set up at IHMCT Kerala in order to provide professional training to the students belonging to the front office department. Trainers teach them the Application of Computer Practical and Property Management System.
Library: IHMCT Kerala has a library stacked with a plethora of books, magazines, and journals on the relevant topics to help students pursue their respective courses more efficiently and conduct the required research on a particular topic.
Hostel Facilities: The institution has separate hostels for boys and girls. While the former has an occupant capacity of a hundred and eighty-two students, the girls’ hostel can accommodate thirty-two students. Each hostel has its own warden to look after the welfare of the students.
