Thiruvаlluvаr Institute of Distance Education wаs set up in 2011 under the Thiruvаlluvаr University, at the Vellore district of Tamil Nadu. The institute offers a wide variety of UG and PG courses. How to apply?

Candidates have to either visit the university campus to collect the application form or the university can send the application form by post enclosing a requirement Draft for Rs 150.
The application form has got to be filled in by the candidates and sent to the TIDE.
The application fees are as follows: UG Courses - Rs.100; PG Courses - Rs. 150; Professional Courses - Rs.350/- (MBA); Certificate Courses - Rs.100; Diploma Courses - Rs.150.

Thiruvalluvar University Distance Education Scholarships

The Thiruvalluvar Institute of Distance Education (TIDE), Thiruvalluvar University offers fee concession to differently-abled persons and prisoners subject to the subsequent norms:

Differently abled candidates with 75% physical disability are going to be considered for exemption from tuition fee provided they submit a “Disability Certificate” obtained from “The Director, Institute of Physical Disability and Rehabilitation”, K.K. Nagar, Chennai.
Prisoners in Tamil Nadu are also considered exempt from tuition fee provided they submit their application for admission with a “No Objection Certificate” issued by the competent authority.
Women students of the TIDE are eligible for a 20% concession in tuition fee.\
Graduates of the Thiruvalluvar University pursuing a Postgraduate Course in TIDE are eligible for a 20% concession in tuition fee.
Defence service personnel are eligible for a 20% concession in tuition fee.
