Bengaluru City University Admission

Admission in Bengaluru City University for UG courses is based on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) formulated by the UGC. Admissions at Bengaluru City University is both Merit as well as entrance based.

Admission to the B.Tech program is on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination followed by a counseling process. JEE Main qualified candidates are also eligible to apply.
Admission to the B. Ed program is on the basis of marks obtained in the Pre-Teachers Entrance Test conducted by the university.
Admission to the M.Tech program is also merit-based, but preference is given to GATE qualified candidates.
M.Phil & Ph.D. admission is based on an entrance test conducted by the university, followed by an interview.
Counselling conducted by the university merit-based follows the admission test of the UG and PG courses.
CSIR NET/ UGC NET/ GATE or any other equivalent examination passed applicants are also eligible to apply. Such applicants are exempted from the university entrance test.

How to apply?

Applicants can apply online as well as offline for all courses.

For Online Application: Applicants must visit the official website of Bengaluru City University and fill the application form. Upload a scanned copy of all the required documents. Pay the application fee of INR 500 by Credit/ Debit Card or through Net- Banking. Submit and save the application form for future reference.

For Offline Application: Visit the official website of Bengaluru City University and fill the application form. Download the course-specific application form. Fill the form and pay the application fee of INR 500 (INR 1000 for B.Ed) in the form of DD drawn in favor of ‘Bengaluru City University; payable at Bengaluru. Send the duly filled form along with the required documents and DD to the university address.

Bengaluru City University Facilities

This University has well-experienced staff members and it is very well constructed in a humongous manner. The teaching, placement, facilities and other opportunities are so good which makes people think of this college and be the choice of admitting their child for a better future.

Hostel: The campus has seven spacious, well-designed and properly furnished separate hostels for boys and girls; including different ones for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. Each hostel room is well furnished with a double bed, study table.
Fitness Center: The University gym is well equipped with a multi-gym and a range of free weights and aerobic equipment-including a treadmill. The gym is great for building strength, burning fat, improving general fitness, or for specific sports conditioning.
Library: The University has multiple libraries of 1 lac.sq.ft. plinth area with a robust collection of over 2,50,000 books, 1000 national and 400 international journals subscribed annually, 2000 working papers and many other resources like thesis (350), student's project reports (2000), CD’s (2000) and videos (150) with several Indian & international editions on various topics. Students on campus can also avail the facility of online journals and e-books provided through Ebsco, Delnet, Sage etc.

Ans: UG students seeking admission in BCU can upload their credentials at the official website of BCU and pay the respective fees along with that. for Post Graduates, admission is done by applying for the online entrance test. Accordingly, the merit list will be published and counseling will be done.
