Ans. Yes, the HI-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology offers separate hostel facilities for junior and senior students. Each hostel has its mess and a well-equipped kitchen. In addition, the hostel rooms are well-furnished with almirahs, curtains, and bedding.

Ans. A few centers available at the HI-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology are listed below:

• Centre for Technical Training & Industrial Alliance - This center was founded by HIET in 2010 to provide industry-oriented technical training to students in collaboration with industry experts to enhance their employability. The CTTIA building is spread over an area of 20000 sq. mt. In terms of infrastructure, this center has everything including Labs with required software & hardware, Seminar Hall, Office space for companies, etc. Under CTTIA, ‘Centers of Excellence’ have been formed in 4 areas i.e. Computer Science & Application, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, and Robotics & Automation. Currently, 8 companies are associated with CTTIA.
• Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre - This center was established by the college in May 2013 under the sponsorship of the National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board, Department of Science & Technology, GOI - New Delhi. The primary goal of HIET is to create an environment of Innovation and Entrepreneurship development in the region. Under the banner of this center, various training programs i.e. EAC, EDP, TEDP, FDP, etc. are organized regularly. Further, IEDC offers financial support to 5 innovative projects every year.
• The Center for Software Consultancy & Development - CSCD at HIET has been formed to discover and nurture the technical, and soft skills along with group qualities of students. The center is guided and administered by trainers and well-known technology development experts. Apart from this, it offers technical assistance and technology development to CS students. Last but not least, the center is developing the AMS, an ERP system for the institute, which includes modules such as the Student Attendance System, Academic & Examination System, Student Information System, and Student Login Module.
• Corporate Connect Program Centre - This center is responsible for developing the modules to address the self-improvement and development needs of students. Under the CCP, training along with mock interviews, group discussions (both Technical and HR), and debates are conducted to foster the time management, presentation, and communication skills of young minds.
• Business Incubator MSME - This center is in the college to provide necessary business guidance, mentoring, and infrastructural support to upcoming entrepreneurs. It was set up under the Sponsorship of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt. of India. The business incubator at HIET is governed by a Technical Advisory Board consisting of industrialists, venture capitalists, technical specialists, and managers.
• Technology Consultancy - This center is built to offer necessary support and guidance to students to identify and evaluate the technology and know-how, Business Facilitation, Pre-feasibility studies, Market research, and techno-economic studies. Trainings are arranged for students from time to time.

Ans. Yes. If a candidate applies directly at HIET, he/she needs to undergo a written test followed by a group discussion and personal interview conducted by the institute. But if a candidate has qualified entrance exams like CAT/MAT or GMAT (for MBA only), or JEE Mains/CUET (for B. Tech.), he/she would be exempted from the written test. However, personal interviews and group discussions are mandatory.

• Applicants are shortlisted by the selection board after evaluating their performance in entrance tests and interviews, past academic career, maturity and intelligence, and work experience (if any).
• The final merit list is released per the recommendation of the selection board.
