International Institute of Sports Management Admission

Interested candidates can apply online with the required documents. The mentioned below are the details for the same:

Stage I

Admission Process for Bachelor’s degree: Eligible candidates would be assessed on the basis of Essay, Sports Management Admission Test (SMAT) score, and Overall Performance. Candidates can register for SMAT online through the IISM website.
Admission Process for Master’s degree and PGPs: Eligible candidates would be assessed on the basis of Caselets, Sports Management Admission Test (SMAT) score, and Overall Performance.

Stage II

This Stage will be an online Video-Call based Personal Interview for 120 marks. The total weightage of Stage I and Stage II will be 300. Aspirants need to score 60% cumulative of Stage I and Stage II in order to secure Admission at IISM.

Ques. What is SMAT? What is the procedure to apply for SMAT?

Ans. Sports Management Admission Test (SMAT) is an online entrance test to apply for admission at IISM. Candidates shall be tested on their aptitude in Mathematics and English, with an emphasis on their interest and knowledge about the sporting ecosystem. SMAT comes with a 30% weightage for sports-related questions. The test is specially designed to cater to a very specific domain – i.e. sports management. The test focuses on the candidate’s liking and awareness of the sports industry and their acumen for the business side of sports. The procedure to register yourself for SMAT is as follows:

Step 1: Register yourself and verify the email.

Step 2: Fill the application form online.

Step 3: Pay the application fee and upload the required documents.

Ques. What are the eligibility criteria as per category?

Ans. The eligibility criteria as per category is as follows:

Open Category: Minimum required percentage at the HSC and graduation level (Bachelor’s degree) is 50%.
Reserved Category (Maharashtra Domicile applicants only): Minimum required percentage at the HSC and graduation level (Bachelor’s degree) is 45%.
