About Murshidabad Medical College & Hospital

Murshidabad Medical College is a government run medical college which was established in the year 2012 and located in Berhampore Town at Murshidabad district. The hospital provides facilities like preventive, diagnostic and curative services to the people of districts Murshidabad, Birbhum and the northern part of Nadia. The college has a huge campus with 32 acres of area. This college is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) . The college is also affiliated by State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB).

The college offers MBBS at UG level and Various paramedical Diploma courses. It also offers training programmes in Nursing in GNM. Admission to the college is made through NEET UG and the entrance exam conducted by the state of West Bengal for Paramedical courses (SMFWBEE).

How to Apply?

First fill up the admission form and take a printout of it before submission.
Get ready with the documents as mentioned in the circular and also take printouts of filled up admission forms and bank transaction documents, before scanning. Candidates must have to sign on the bonds, admission form, hand written declaration and bank transaction acknowledgement documents before the scanning process.
Scan all the required documents as mentioned above as a single pdf file (with size 5 MB or less) and rename it by the first name of the candidate.
Once all the documents are scanned as a single pdf file then send a confirmatory mail with attached pdf file to the principal on the following mail id: [email protected]

Murshidabad Medical College Placements

All the students of Murshidabad Medical College are placed and employed by the government of West Bengal . No private companies come directly to offer the internship or job but students can practice privately after completion of their study period. After continuing four years of the course, internships are offered by the West Bengal government. The starting stipend is around INR 21000 per month and after completion of one year of internship the stipend will increase upto INR 35000 per month.

Murshidabad Medical College Facilities

Infrastructure: Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital is extended in the huge area of 32 acres where all the complexes with independent location exist . These complexes include buildings like Academic Building for students education, Hospital Building to serve people , Residences for Faculty and staff as well, 2 large grounds for outdoor games, Gymnasium , Outdoor and Indoor games and sports facilities , Diagnostic and Clinic services and pathological investigation laboratories.
Hostel Facility: The college also provides hostel facilities for both male and female separately for UG students, Interns , Nurses and Residents. College provides 390 seats for MBBS , 100 seats for Interns , 93 seats for Residents and 60 seats for Nurses.
Library Facility: College also provides library facilities for students and teachers as well. The central library is situated at the Academic Building of the College. There are three inside and outside rooms for the students and a separate room for teachers also. Library has 7832 MBBS books, 200 paramedical books , 102 E- Journals etc. There is a computer room with a capacity of 25 computers along with internet connection ,all are connected to the central server.
Hospital Services: Hospital is equipped with all diagnostic facilities and also has pathological laboratories for any kind of medical investigation. The hospital provides indoor and outdoor services to the patients. As per policy of West Bengal Government, all the treatments provided to the patients by hospital are totally free of cost.
