About Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences

Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, popularly known as UHSR, is a state-level medical university in Rohtak, Haryana, established in 2008. The university has received approval from both the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), being awarded an esteemed 'A' Grade. The University comprises three colleges and two institutes, with a total of 74 affiliated colleges.

MBBS, BDS, B.Pharm, BPT, BASLP, B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, D Pharmacy, and B.Sc are the major UG courses offered by UHSR. Admission into the MBBS and BDS courses is based on the score in NEET UG. UHSR Admission to PG courses include MD, MS, MDS, M.Sc Nursing, MPT, M.Pharm, MD/MS, MPT, MPhil, and PG Diploma. Admissions to MD/MS and PG Diploma are made based on the score in NEET PG.

UHSR library is linked with the National Medical Library through the ERMED consortium and can access almost 243 journals through a Wi-Fi network. UHSR departments are coordinating workshops to provide students with practical experience in their specific areas of study. The university consists of a 1250-seat fully air-conditioned auditorium.
