University of Calcutta, informally known as Calcutta University or CU, is public-state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal. Established in 1857, it is the oldest multidisciplinary university of Indian Subcontinent and South East Asian Region. Calcutta University Admissions

Calcutta University admissions to all UG and PG programs are based on merit and entrance examination. Admissions to UG courses such as BA, B.Sc, and B.Com are based on marks secured in the qualifying examination. Calcutta University conducts its entrance examination for admission to PG courses including B.Ed, BALLB, LLM, etc. Calcutta University offers admission to BTech, MBA, MCA, and MTech based on WBJEE/JEE Main, CAT/MAT/XMAT/JEMAT, WB-JECA, and GATE scores respectively.
