Ashokrao Mane Polytechnic, established in 2008 aims at providing enormous opportunities to the rural masses of the western Maharashtra in higher technical education for which AMPC has recently been in local marathi newspapers like Sakal, Lokmat etc.
AMPC is quite famous for diploma engineering courses in western Maharashtra.It’s top diploma courses are in branches like civil, automobile, mechanical, electrical, computer, electrical and telecommunication engineering, applied science and humanities.
Admissions into AMPC is Merit based either on candidate’s HSC 10th board results ( for diploma courses admission) or on the basis of HSC Technical/MVSC/ITI ie. Merit of candidate in HSC 12th or any equivalent 2 year course in technical subject is also considered ( for direct 2nd year admission).

- Hostel: Hostel at AMPC provides an ideal atmosphere for studies; it inspires a lesson of mutual cooperation and the spirit of healthy competition amongst the hosteliers. Mess facilities are available for hoteliers at different areas of the campus separately for boys and girls. Warden is always present in the hostel who is responsible for the discipline, room allotment and maintenance of the building etc.
- Bus: The Institute is situated on Pune- Bangalore National Highway about 20 kms.away from the Railway Station and Airport of Kolhapur. The location is easily accessible. The institute has provided its own bus facility. Five buses from Kolhapur city, Peth-Vadgaon, Ichalkaranji, & Warana–Kodoli, for faculty and local students.Also there is a City Bus facility from Kolhapur city to the Institute (Wathar).
