About Barpeta Girls College

Barpeta college was established on 7^th September 1978, with a view of spreading the light of higher education among the womens of the district. It is the only women’s higher degree college in the region . The college has been through to many ups and downs in the last 32 years. The college was accredited was NAAC in 2004.

The college campus is situated in the Satra Nagari barpeta.
The college has a campus of 7 acres of the landed property

Missions and Goals:

The mission & goals of this institution, other than the generation and transmission of knowledge, are to spread higher education to the women of the rural and semi-urban populace of the region with a view to making them good, honest, responsible and worthy citizen of the country.
