Catholicate College, Pathanamthitta was established in 1952. The college has completed fifty-nine years in disseminating quality education in the central travancore region of Kerala. • In 2006-07 the College NCC cadets won the Best March Past Award in the Independence Day and RD celebrations held in Pathanamthitta

• U/O Udayakumar got the Best NCC Cadet Award and obtained the Chief Ministers Scholarship

• The NCC Officer is Dr.(Maj) M.J.Kurian and he secured the Best Associate NCC Officer  award
