Admissions at Ch. Ranbir Singh Government Polytechnic is done only on merit. HARYANA DET(L) is not being conducted for the year 2020-2021.

- First, select the course that you want to register for.
- Fill in the required personal and academic details.
- Upload the latest colored passport size photograph(30 KB) and Signature(20 KB).
- Confirm the details.
- Deposit the application fee online which is Rs 500/- for the general category and Rs 200/- for all reserved categories.
- Next, an application number will flash on your screen which is to be noted down for future purposes.
- After the submission of the form and the fee, upload the following documents:
- Mark sheet
- Proof of date of birth
- Required reservation certificates
- After the verification of the documents by the designated center, a rank will be generated.
- Colleges will be allotted according to this rank.

Haryana State Technical Education Society(HSTES) offers scholarships to the scheduled castes and minorities and every institute that comes under it has to follow the same scheme while assisting. Following are the Scholarships offered to the students:
- Post-Matric Scholarship of Govt of India(GOI) for the scheduled castes and minorities
- Scheduled Caste Sub Plan(SCSP) Scheme of Haryana Govt. for SC students. The tuition fee is reimbursed for the diploma courses ( Tuition-free or Rs 20000/- whichever is less).
- Post-Matric Scholarship for minority diploma students.
- Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for UG/PG students.
- The reimbursement of State Transport Facilities or Train pass will be given to diploma and UG/PG students having AADHAR/UID number. Hostlers are not reimbursed.
Ch. Ranbir Singh Government Polytechnic Facilities
Following are the facilities offered by the institute to cater to the need of the students and the faculty members:
- Library: The institute has a library that is well set up and has a variety of engineering and pharmacy books. The books available covers all the branches of engineering and pharmacy as well. Chairs and tables are set up so that students can study in the library itself. Books are issued daily for students to take home so that they can also peacefully at home.
- Laboratories: The institute provides a well-equipped laboratory that is available to students to do experiments and projects. Lab assistants are there to help the students in performing the experiments with safety and precaution.
- Classrooms: The institute has spacious classrooms with benches and tables in place to cater to the academic needs of the students. Fans and windows are there so that there is propeller ventilation in the room.
- Computer Laboratory: A computer lab is also available on the campus for students to use and do their technology-based projects. The region is still not properly developed and because of this internet facilities are not available at every house. To tackle this problem, internet connection and computers are available so that students face no problem and education is not disturbed in any way.
