School of Legal Studies is one of the oldest law schools in the country. The institution is among the topmost law schools engaged in teaching and research in India. The quality of education provided by the school can be estimated by the vast number of its students serving as Justices of the High Courts in the country. This law school has a history of four decades in producing not just lawyers, but teachers and scholars too. Institution selects a limited number of students through a rigorous process, to identify and develop individual traits which are essential for academic success, along with promoting vitality, diversity and excellence in students.

• Placement Cell-- The placement committee of the college takes out a printed brochure inviting companies to visit the campus for providing students with their dream jobs. 
• Focus on research programmes– The institution stresses the importance on legal research in frontier areas of law, especially contemporary problems. The current research programmes include Criminal liability of corporation, Trans-boundary movement of hazardous goods, Law on securities intermediaries etc.
• Databases– The School of Legal Studies itself has access to several databases including SCC online, IPR database and Manupatra. Apart from a wide selection of Indian journals, the college subscribes to a list of International journals as well, leading to vast knowledge for its students.
