DSMNRU Facilities

DSMNRU campus provides students with amenities such as Wi-Fi, technology-friendly smart classrooms with modern audio-visual education aids such as Computers, CCTV, Projectors, Multimedia educational approach, well-equipped computer lab with JAWS (Job Access with Speech), and green eco-friendly campus-all combine to offer the student a world-class educational experience for all-round development.

Furthermore, there are various resource rooms for the visually impaired and mentally retarded children. There is also an orientation and mobility unit and sensory stimulation unit. Various medical facilities such as exercise therapy, ultrasonic therapy are also provided to the students. DSMNRU lets the differently-abled students pursue their academic dreams in a free environment.

Following are the major facilities by the college:

Library - The university has well-equipped library. It has 4000 reference books with National and International Journals. Library is equipped with 64 KBPS RF link and connected to 2 MBPS leased line from BSNL

The library also has GUI based management software with a vast collection of books, compact discs and audio visual aids related to speech, hearing and allied fields to help the disabled students. Additionally, JAWS(Job access with speech) has been installed to aid the visually challenged students. 

Special labs - The university has special labs to cater to the different disabilities. They are equipped with all the necessary learning, training and test materials. They are - 

• Resource room for mentally retarded children
• Resource room for visually impaired children
• Orientation and mobility unit 
• Sensory stimulation unit 

Medical facilities - Proper medical and healthcare services are provided in the campus for students. A swasthyasewakendra has been established for the students and each and every student is insured under group medical insurance cover. Additionally, the university also has its own physiotherapy unit with all the major services and facilities. On top of that, all the services are provided free of cost for all the staff and students of the university.

Disability support  - Special facilities like ramps, rails, special toilets etc have been developed for the dsabled. devices like magnifiers, audio visual aids and computers with screen reading softwares are made available so that the students are not deprived of the wonderful educational experience. Also, special aids and devices are provided to facilitate the daily functioning of students. 

Canteen - Canteen is the place where the students go to unwind in between their tiring and hectic day. Keeping this in mind, the canteen present in the DSMU campus offers mouth watering delicacies at affordable prices; keeping the hygiene and quality in check. 

Hostel - The hostel facility is available for both boys and girls. The hostels are spacious, well ventilated and equipped with all the basic amenities like 24 hours electricity supply and 24 hour purified drinking water, round o’clock security, mess and many other facilities.

Special attendants are also provided to disabled children for their daily activities.Also, medical facilities are provided free of cost for all the hostel students and staff.
