Gautam Buddha University is a state university, located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh with 455 acres of campus area. The university is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC) and has been accredited by NAAC with B+ Grade. The University offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in the domains of Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering, Management, Computer Applications, Biotechnology, Buddhist studies, and so on.

Admission to the University is done either based on merit or entrance exams. Applicants have to appear for the entrance exams GBU-ET conducted by the University. The University also accepts admission through national level entrance tests like CAT, MAT, GMAT, CLAT, CMAT, XAT, SET, NET, JRF, etc. The per semester fee for B.Tech course ranges between INR 75,000- INR 1,35,000, depending on the specialization opted by the candidate. For, B.arch the fee is INR 1,00,000 (per semester). Further, the fee for PG course like MBA ranges between INR 1,00,000- 1,20,000 (per semester) and for M.Tech the fee is INR 60,000 (per semester). 

Gautam Buddha University’s Corporate Relation Cell provides 100% placement assistance to the students. During the Placement drive 2024, more than 60 companies visited the campus and the highest package offered to the students was INR 51 LPA.

Gautam Buddha University Scholarship

Gautam Buddha University offers scholarship and Assistantship to the eligible and deserving candidates. Details of the same are mentioned below:

• GBU offers 50% relaxation in fees for candidates securing 80% and above marks in the 12th exam and opt for B.Tech. Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. This is not applicable for working professionals.
• GBU offers a 50% scholarship in Tuition fees to all students belonging to SC/ST categories. Scholarship for remaining tuition fees as per U. P. Government rule.
• For M.Tech., GATE-qualified students may be engaged on assistantship for the teaching load.
• Merit Scholarship are offered to rank-holder students on an Annual basis.
• The University offers "Teaching Assistantship" to research scholars who do not have UGC/CSIR or any other fellowship to support their studies while pursuing his/her doctoral degree.
• The University also offers a 50% Exemption on Tuition fees to wards of GBU's employees, subject to two children.
• GBU provides Medical/ Health Insurance coverage for students.

New Entrant Scholarship: The New Entrant Scholarship is offered to meritorious students at the time of admission, and the duration of the fellowship will be one academic year. To become eligible for the scholarship, the candidate must have 80% and above marks in aggregate of all subjects in class 12 from the institution recognised by CBSE/ ISCE/ State Board. Application for the scholarship is accepted from the meritorious candidates taking admission in engineering programme after passing 10+2, or such other qualifying examinations as prescribed by the Gautam buddha university.
