About Gochar Mahavidyalaya

Gochar Mahavidyalaya was established in 1959 by a socialist and Educationalist, Chaudhary Multan Singh. The College started by offering only Agricultural courses but presently it offers a variety of courses in Arts, Science, Physical Education, Commerce, Management, Education, Home Science, etc. The admission to the College is basically merit-based but for B.Ed., the state-level entrance exam is taken.

Gochar Mahavidyalaya Admission

Admission to its courses is mostly based on merit. Admission to its B.Ed course is however based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination.

For B.Ed. course, students are given admission based on the entrance exam conducted at the state level. After that, through the counseling process, students are allotted Colleges.

Gochar Mahavidyalaya Facilities

Hostel: Two hostels are built on the campus for boys and girls each. Both the hostels are well furnished, ventilated. There is a hostel library too for study purposes.
Computer labs: The College has a separate computer lab with a good broadband connection for providing computer education to the students.
Dispensary: First aid is available in the College in case of small injuries.
Sports facility: There is a separate faculty for sports and Physical Education. The college has a big playground and students can go there to play in their free time. Indoor games are also available.
Library: There is one central library and other departmental libraries in PG departments. There are journals, newspapers, magazines, and many knowledge books related to the subjects taught in the College.
Faculty: There are nearly 50+ teachers in the whole College for all the departments. All the teachers are well-qualified in their specializations.

The scholarship is awarded to all the students irrespective of caste. The scholarship is for day scholars and hostellers.
