The college was established by Sri M. V. Purushothaman and has now completed more than ten years of success by providing excellent education to their students and local community. The college is named after the great legend and educationalist Rabindranath Tagore and was established in the year 2002.The college is one of the Catholic colleges administered by the Metropolitan Bishop of Bathery in accordance with the rights of the minority community guaranteed in the Constitution of India.
