The International Maritime Institute, established in 1991 is a private marine engineering college. The vision of the institute is to serve as an effective liaison of the maritime industry. It is the only maritime institute in North India offering B.Tech program affiliated to IMU, Chennai. IMI Greater Noida Admissions
Candidates seeking admission need to apply online through the official website. The admission criteria for the courses are different from each other
- B.Tech: For B.Tech admission, seats are allotted based on the candidate’s merit in IMU-CET Exam. Selected candidates need to appear for counselling
- B.Tech (Lateral Entry): Candidates seeking admission have to appear in Pre Screening Test (PST) & Interview conducted by the Institute. Those who are selected will undergo a medical test by the Directorate General of Shipping approved doctors.
- DNS: For admission to Diploma in Nautical Science, candidates need to quality OPEN-NET exam conducted by IMI
- GME: Admission is granted based on a candidate’s performance in Aptitude, IQ, Reasoning, and Psychometric tests. Selected candidates also have to appear in an interview

Ans. DNS students can apply for sponsorship from companies. Students need to appear for a Sponsorship examination through the company’s official website

Ans. The fee of application is INR 2000
Ques. What is the eligibility to obtain sponsorship from a company?
Ans. The student must have passed 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, and Maths) with more than 60% aggregate. Students also need to have a good IMU CET rank and have to clear the written test and interview by the company.
Ques. Does the institute offer a preparatory course for the IMU CET exam?
Ans. Yes, both regular and crash courses are offered for the students to help them prepare for the IMU CET exam. The regular course is for 2 months for a fee of Rs. 50,000 and the crash course is for one month for a fee of Rs. 30,000.
Ques. When do the courses commence at IMI Greater Noida?
Ans. B. Tech course begins in August, Diploma in Nautical Science commences in February and August and GME course begins in April and October. Value-added courses are available more frequently and can be booked online.
