About Mewar University - [MU]
Mewar University, promoted by the Mewar Education Society (MES), Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) is an autonomous body set up through the promulgation of an ordinance by the Government of Rajasthan in 2008, which was passed by the Rajasthan Assembly through Act. No. 4 of 2009. The University is approved by the University Grants Commission u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, with the right to confer degree u/s 22(1) of the UGC Act vide letter No.F.9-15/2009 (CPP-I) dated 30th March 2009. The University is a Member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Mewar University is also approved u/s 12B of UGC Act, 1956 and NAAC accredited.
The Various courses offered at the University also recognized by the concerned Indian Government Statutory Regulatory Authorities/Councils such as Bar Council of India (BCI), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Furthermore, the university has approvals from regulatory bodies such as the IAP, NSS, NCC, RNC, INC, RPMC, FICCI, YHAI, ISO, IFC, NCVET, and RPMC, ensuring adherence to quality standards across a diverse array of courses. Mewar University holds recognition and approval from esteemed regulatory bodies such as the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) for PMKVY, National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, and NATS.

Mewar University Facilities
Nestling among the Aravali hills, the University is located near Gangrar, close to historic Chittorgarh in Rajasthan, the land of Maharana Pratap, Meera Bai and many others. The University lays special emphasis on making students aware of Indian culture and heritage as well as the heroic deeds and sacrifices of those who made our country great.
Mewar University provides world-class infrastructure to its students, creating an excellent learning environment and a cosmopolitan ambiance. The university presently encompasses 10.50 Lac sq. ft. of constructed area and continues to add around 1,00,000 sq. ft. area every year. The university has approximately 10,000 students at present. The majority of students (more than 75%) belong to SC, ST, OBC & Minority categories and represent far-flung areas of almost all the States of the country. 90% of the students are from rural areas and belong to the poorest of the poor sections of society.
Library: The University has a well-stocked, air-conditioned, and fully computerized library, which catalyzes the learning process.
Laboratories: The campus has state-of-the-art laboratories that have been aesthetically designed and are well-equipped with modern equipment and infrastructure to completely cover the syllabus of each branch of study.
Hostel: To accommodate students coming from far-off places, the University provides separate air-cooled hostel facilities for boys and girls within the campus.
Transportation: The University has its fleet of transport and ensures safe commuting between the city and campus, with vehicles plying at reasonable intervals. Right now there are 2000 boys in four hostels and 500 girls in two hostels.
Research: Mewar University is committed to providing the best possible infrastructure and research facilities to its students and teachers. From its establishment, Mewar University has been dedicated on research-oriented education and prioritizing its Ph.D. programs on general, technical and professional subjects with great pride. Renowned academicians from across the country are members of the Research committee that approves the topics for researchers and recommends the award of the Ph.D. degree.

Mewar University in line with its commitment of providing the Best Education, Best Training, and Best Placement, the University has designed the curricula for all the courses in such a way that students have to go for an Industry Interface Program for a full six months, apart from their 45 days training in a training institute. This program enables MU students to get adequate exposure to various aspects of industrial operations, functioning, and corporate culture that are part and parcel of a particular industry. On successful completion of their training, MU students are a natural choice for placement offers from these organizations, and this helps in addressing the most important aspect of proper education.
Training Centre for Faculties and Officials: A training center with the requisite gadgets and equipment facility is also there on the campus for the continuous upgradation of knowledge of faculties and officials. It is designed to keep the teaching staff remains informed about latest developments in different subjects and teaching methodology. The university is continuously arranging training programs for faculties so that their teaching skill is updated and improved.
