MIER College of Education has been a pioneering institute in the field of Teacher Education for over four decades now. With a CGPA of 3.64 and a "A+" Grade (3rd Cycle) from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the college is ranked among the top 5 teacher education programs in the nation. The institute was established in the year 1981 and was the first college in the private sector in Jammu Province to impart instructions in B.Ed. Programme.
Since its inception in 1981, the college has emerged as a trend-setting educational institution utilizing both formal and non-formal techniques on the principles of excellence, quality, self-reliance and collaboration.
