About Murarai Government Polytechnic - [MGP]

Murarai Government Polytechnic (MGP) is situated in Murarai, Birbhum of the state West Bengal. It was established in 2016 and is approved by AICTE. The college offers three certification courses in the engineering stream. Admission is done entirely online and is based on marks obtained in the state polytechnic entrance exam JEXPO, conducted by WBSCTE and basic eligibility for admission is based on marks obtained in 10th-grade. Post-Matric and West Bengal Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship are the few scholarship schemes available for students.

MGP Birbhum Admission

Admission to the engineering certification courses is entirely online and based on 10th-grade exam. WBSCTE oversees the counselling and admission process based on the scores in JEXPO and marks in the 10th exam.

Application Steps

Students should register and apply online for the course and entrance at https://jexpo.webscte.co.in/.
Start filling the form available online with all the needed details.
Candidates should appear for the exam as per the exam allotted date and time on admit card after the release of it.
Candidates whom have cleared the entrance should continue to register for the counselling process where the seat allocations are done.
Candidates should upload their rank card along with mark sheets and other details to take part in the counselling.
Thus, Candidates will be able to fill their choices based on the obtained ranks as formulated by the board.
Colleges gets allotted after verification of choice and merit rank based on the seats yet to be filled.
Then, candidates need to confirm their allotment or wait for further counselling rounds if they didn’t get the college allocation.
Document verification in the manual mode should be done at the seat allotted college before the deadline mentioned in the allotment order.
