NIE Institute of Technology - [NIEIT]

The NIE Institute of Technology, also referred to as NIEIT, was founded in 2008 and is situated in Mysuru, the Heritage City of Karnataka. Approved by AICTE, New Delhi, NIEIT is affiliated with VTU, Belagavi. NIEIT occupies a sprawling 25 acres of lush green campus and is encircled by major industrial conglomerates, including Infosys, BEML, L&T, and Skanray. Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) granted NIEIT autonomous status in 2007. NIEIT is one of the 14 colleges recognized by the MHRD. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has granted Tier-1 accreditation to the National Institute of Engineering (NIE).

NIEIT offers a B.E course as its flagship program in seven engineering programs like B.E. in Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering - (AI and ML), Computer Science and Engineering, and Information Science and Engineering. 

NIEIT’s placement process has seen almost 450+ organizations visit the NIE Institute of Technology, including 260+ IT companies and 150+ core companies. In the most recent placement data about 340+ companies visited the campus and 708 students were placed. The highest package offered was INR 56 LPA and the average package was INR 9 LPA. In addition to reputable companies specific to each domain, such as Applied Materials, Sabre, Broadcom & National Instruments for Electrical & Electronics and Electronics & Communication, and many more, the institution had received visits from many dream companies, including Cisco, VMware, Intuit, IBM, Amazon, Twilio, Google, and Microsoft.

NIE Institute of Technology Scholarship

NIEIT Institute encourages and takes a proactive interest in seeing that all students are eligible for scholarship applications. This is not only restricted to GoK scholarships for SC, ST & OBC students, but the college also enables them to apply for private scholarships through NGOs like railway, KSRTC Workmen’s Union, and community-oriented scholarships. To encourage meritorious students students with exceptional academic records they receive a tuition fee waiver. In this category, only the top ten students are considered. Scholarships under the CET Quota Program are offered up to:
CET Rank < 1000: 100% Tuition Fee
CET Rank < 1500: 75% Tuition Fee
CET Rank < 2500: 50% Tuition Fee
