P.C.P.S Girls’ Polytechnic at Bamunimaidan, Guwahati is one of the oldest technical institutions in the Northeast region of India. The institute is spread across about 9 acres of land to offer diploma courses in four different disciplines for the eligible and interested women candidates.

The institute is run by the Government of Assam under the Directorate of Technical Education.

The college was initially known as Girls’ Polytechnic, which got renamed as Padmashree Chandra Prabha Saikiani Girls’ Polytechnic in 2004 by the Government of Assam.
