Pithapur Rajah’s College, Kakinada founded in 1884 is one of the earliest institutions for higher education in South India. The college offers courses in the disciplines of arts, commerce, and sciences. The primary motive of the institution is to embed academics in the life of the socially backward and sweat to accomplish the same. The college is amongst the first college to grant total fee exemption for meritorious girl candidates.  Settled in the heart of Kakinada, the college is conferred with “College with Potential Excellence” status by UGC for its innovative academic model.

Infrastructure

• The lush green campus is spread over 35 acres which facilitates the academic development of learners.
• Free Internet facility for all students.
• The college grants sufficient funds for infrastructural development which helps in keeping a conducive atmosphere.
• Each classroom is well-furnished and suitably ventilated with adequate lighting and fans. LCD and OHP facility is also available for specific departments.
• Mana TV, a State Government sponsored channel is inclined towards college curriculum for telecasting of lessons for enhancing the knowledge and skills towards the subject. The topics are telecasted at the seminar hall which has a seating capacity of 400+ members.
