“Since the beginning of my MBA journey in 2020, it has been a sheer hustle. Being a part of the foundation batch, the onus to set a benchmark for the upcoming batches and also in the industry was upon us. One of the distinct characteristics of SME, IIT Jodhpur is its social sector arm. The MBA students are required to complete a winter internship spanning 4 weeks in the first year. In 2020, our team of four worked consistently to get some of the best winter internships for the batch. In spite of being online and not meeting anyone in person, we executed the task smoothly. In the subsequent year, we had a fresh batch of juniors, some online while some offline. My MBA journey would have been incomplete without this invaluable experience that I have garnered over the past two years.”

“Getting into SME, IIT Jodhpur was a dream come true and the amount of acknowledgment I gained is beyond the scope of words to express. Four months into the program the time for the winter internship arrived. The MBA program here under its social sector attachment gives its students a unique opportunity to associate themselves with an NGO as interns. The NGO that picked me was Bharat Calling, situated in Pathrotha village, Itarsi, Madhya Pradesh. An unknown place, a rural setting surrounded by hills and farms, sounds like a perfect setup for the adventure that was about to unfold. Bharat Calling works in a variety of domains namely – career counselling, agriculture, handmade, awareness and learning. We did not even realize how quickly the month went by and our winter internship came to a close. It was the most unique and memorable experience I have ever had and it will stay with me forever.”

This quote drives to be the slogan I commit to from when I have realized tomorrow is too late to start what is destined to do today. I am an Electronics and Communication graduate from Hyderabad. Pursuing my master’s from an esteemed university was the dream of my parents. Being part of SME, IIT Jodhpur was no less than a dream come true for me. As a part of my internship, I was designated to be a digital marketing intern whose primary objective is to improve the reach of the organization and its activities through the digital media channels in the best way possible. We were a team of 5 who strategized and formulated different methodologies that have improved in spreading the work of RightWalk’s vision and mission in society. We had a mentor who supported and collaborated with us at various levels from improving our strategies to finally letting us interact with little kids whose lives were transformed through the policies of Right to Education. It made me firmly determined to continue association with such noble organizations that are changing how our societies work.”
