Shri Ram Institute of Technology - [SRIT]

With the blessing “Varsoa Brother” Shri Ram Group of Institutes come into existence on 9th July 2001. The group is headed by renowned Electronics Scientist & Educationist Dr. S.P. Kosta (Ph.D. Comm. Engg., Recipient of Aryabhatt Award, ex. director of ISRO Banglore and ex. Vice Chancellor, University of Jabalpur.)

Shri Ram Group is one of the few institutions in Central India. Following are a few highlighting features:

• Completely Wi-Fi Campus with around 150 access points.
• 20 plus Mbps of bandwidth for internet with dedicated leased line.
• 2100 + computers supported by Quad Core, Xeon based Rack/Blade and desktop Servers.

Placements:-

• TCS, in its very first recruitment drive, created a State Placement Record in the year 2011 by selecting 210 final year students of SRIT. This is the highest number of campus selections by any company in a single campus drive in the entire Madhya Pradesh !! Goes on to show the quality of our students!!
• Zensar Technologies selected 176 pre-final and final year students for final placement and its COE program from SRIT.
• More than 500+ campus selections in the year 2011 alone and still counting.
• 3500+ selections till date.

Co-Curricular Activities:-

• Mehak, the annual mega-cultural festival of Shri Ram Group – a large and glamorous fest, is celebrated in March every year. It is an amalgamation of entertainment, excitement, and puissance.
• NCC:- SRIT is First private engineering college in mahakoshal region having two platoons with 53 cadets each.

Achievements:-

• NRC:-IIT MUMBAI (HELIOS COMMITTEE) organized NATIONAL ROBOTICS CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 ‘s First Round in SHRI RAM INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY , JABALPUR (M.P.) ; ON 29th AND 30th AUGUST , 2013.

Sports Achievments:-

Students have won volley ball & Basket Ball , cricket matches at inter-college level and state level tournaments. In Volley Ball & Basket Ball , our students have won prizes at state level in 2011.

Library:

• The Library has a rich collection of text and reference books, journals, magazines, audio/videos, CD-ROMs, research reports, online databases and data analysis software, etc. in all areas and branches of study in all disciplines.
• More than 90000+ books with a yearly expenditure of more than 60 lakhs on books itself.
• Subscription to more than 1500 online national and international journals through JGATE (AICTE Consortium)
• Digital Library with more than 30 computers and more than 5000 e-learning resources and tutorials
• Use of RFID system and software in the libraries, which has made book issuing and depositing system completely an automatic process.

Auditorium : Considering that a variety of events like cultural programmes, seminars , debates, plays and other programmes are conducted throughout the year, a central auditorium is under construction with a seating capacity of more than 1500 persons.
