Establsihed in 1987, it is managed by a registered Educational Society named "Shri Vaishnav Shaikshanik Evam Parmarthik Nyas", an Educational and Charitable Trust. The institute is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and UGC, and is affiliated with Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore and RGPV, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management and Science Admission 2024

• Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management and Science Admission to all its UG programs is based on merit of the qualifying examination.
• UG admissions at the institute are governed by the Department of Higher Education, Madhya Pradesh through online Counselling process. First Round of Counselling shall be done on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2). If the seats remain vacant after the first round of counselling, second round of counselling is scheduled keeping in view the number of vacant seats for a particular programme. College Level Counselling will also be conducted if still the seats remain vacant. 
• Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management and Science MBA admissions are based on the score of CMAT. Admission in MBA against M.P. domiciled candidate seats, All India Seats, J&K Resident/Migrant Seats shall be done through Counselling on the basis of common merit lists provided by the AICTE of CMAT. If the seats remains vacant after the first round of counselling held on the basis of merit of common entrance test, then the decision regarding holding of second round of counselling either separately on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test and/or simultaneously with the counselling on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination shall be taken by the competent authority keeping in view the number of vacant seats for a particular course and approximate number of candidates willing for admission.

• Hostel: Separate hostels for girls and boys is provided at the institute. Rooms in the hostel are provided on sharing basis. The hostel rooms have all the basic facilities like bedding, lockable steel almirahs, attached toilets, study table, and chairs. The hostel has other facilities like visitor’s room, internet facility, tiffin facility, pantry, dining hall, sick room, parking space, indoor games, bus facility, coffee machine on each floor, CCTV cameras, Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine & Incinerator, clean drinking water facility, and 24*7 security, etc.
• Library: The institute has a well-equipped library with a great collection of 53,190 books, 2907 CDs, more than 10,000 online journals, 85 print journals, 41 video cassettes, 18 encyclopedias, more than 17,000 ebooks, etc. Library holds a range of information services- Circulation, Reference, Reprography, Current Awareness and Internet Services to support the professional growth, encourage the process of teaching learning and to achieve the objective of quality in higher education. Also, it has a fairly good collection of Indian Philosophy, Value Management, Harvard Business publishing books, ICFAI Publishing books, IGNOU teaching materials, Project Reports, Case Studies, Biographies and Autobiographies.
• Sports: SVIMS emphasizes the importance of sports and considers them as an integral part of the curriculum. Number of sports activities both indoor and outdoor is available for physical development of students to maintain fitness and develop a competitive spirit. Its outdoor playgrounds and indoor courts are spread over big area.
• Canteen: The institute has a canteen on contract basis; providing quality food at student friendly prices.
