The Institute is managed with its primary purpose being promoting the apex professional standards of management and education in the international known shipping industry.
The institute came into existence after the approval on 27th January 2006 with an intake of 38 students. The course was merged with the present GP Rating course in July 2003 as per the order of the DG Shipping. The college started the first batch of one year for Pre-Sea Dip. in Nautical Science in Aug 2006.
