The vision of the institute is to provide technical empowerment of the nation’s youth and facilitating research and development and consultancy. The mission of the institution is to provide the best facilities, resources and faculty in order to facilitate an exemplary learning environment. It is situated at Kirei just at a motorable distance from the District headquarter town Sundargarh and is most easily approachable by the State Highway-10 connecting Sambalpur-Jharsuguda-Sundargarh & Rourkela.
