About Periyar University

Periyar University, established in 1997, has been accredited ‘A++’ grade by NAAC. It covers the areas of 4 districts namely Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, and Krishnagiri. Periyar University Admission 2024

Candidates seeking admission in the university must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the respective courses. One can visit the official website of the university to download the application form. Fill the form correctly with the required details, documents, photographs, and signature. Upload the form and make the payment using Debit card/Credit Card or Netbanking. However, the selection process for each course varies from each other. Listed below is a brief about the same: 

  • For MBA and MCA, admission will be done on the basis of marks secured in TANCET.
  • Admission to all other PG courses will be done on the basis of marks secured in the graduation.

Periyar University Result 2024

Periyar University follows the semester system for all its courses viz. Odd and Even semester. The examination for odd semester takes place in the month of December/January and for even semester, it happens in the month of May/June. It declares the results of all its courses on its official website. Students can visit the ‘Results’ tab on its official website and enter their Registration Number along with Date of Birth. Click on ‘Show Results’ and the result will be displayed on the screen in the form of a PDF. Download the same for future references.

The university has a dedicated placement cell that caters to the employment needs of the students. It provides training to the students and prepares them for the industry. Students have been placed in multinational companies, government departments, and the private sector. Students are given training in communication, interview skills, and general aptitude.

Periyar University Facilities

​Following are the facilities offered by the university to cater to the needs of the students as well as faculty members:

  • Library: The university has a total collection of 90,871 volumes of text and reference books on various disciplines, 167 periodicals, 16 online journals. 
  • Hostel: The university has 3 hostels namely Ladies Hostel separately hostel for PG and research scholars and a Gents Hostel. All rooms are equipped with basic and modern facilities to cater to students’ needs.
  • Bank: A branch of Canara Bank is available on campus to render services to the teachers, students, and the public.
  • Medical Centre: There is a health center on campus that functions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Everyone from students to teaching and non-teaching staff can avail of medical consultation. 
  • Internet Centre: The lab has a total of 61 PCs used to provide to the students browsing and mailing needs. They can also keep themselves updated in the latest trend of the technical fields.
