About Bodoland University

Established in the year 2009, Bodoland University is an esteemed university situated in Debargaon within the heart of Kokrajhar in Assam. Bodoland University was established by Bodoland University Act 2009, passed in the Assam legislative Assembly.

The present Bodoland University is an up-gradation of the Kokrajhar campus of Gauhati University to a full-fledged state University as per the provision of the Act. Situated in the midst of lush green surroundings and scenic beauty, the university aims at imparting high-quality education to its students so that they excel in their respective fields.

Apart from the above mentioned courses, the college also offers M.Ed, B.Ed, M.Phil, PhD and certificate courses in Bodo.

Bodoland University Admission

To seek admission to all the PG , M.Phil, PhD and Diploma courses, candidates need to fulfill the basis eligibility criteria laid by the university. The final selection to these courses would be done on the basis of scores obtained in an entrance test conducted by the University.

Candidates seeking admission to MBA would be required to appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds, based on their entrance test scores.

How to apply?

To seek admission, candidates need to either procure the offline application form from the university itself,, or they can download the application form online.

Pay an application fee of INR 600 while submitting the application form at the university office.

Bodoland University Facilities

Library: The library at Bodoland University, also known as the Padma shri Madaram Brahma central library has a vast collection of books, journals, periodicals, magazines and CD/DVDs for the students and the staff. The library has implemented the library management system software SOUL 2.0 with a barcode based circulation system. The library also has a digital collection of e-journals and internet facilities.
Health care centre: The Medical Department of Bodoland University came into force in the year 2013 with two staff nurses and one pharmacist. Now, one medical officer and one ward boy are also included in the medical team, which render treatment and medical related support to the students and staff of Bodoland University.
Canteen: The university also has a canteen which provides nutritious and quality food at affordable rates to the staff and students.
Bus Service: The university runs its own bus services, which picks and drops to the students from all the major nearby areas.
Hostel: The university has two separate hostels in the campus for both boys and girls. The hostels are equipped with all the major facilities, along with a medical centre and round the clock security.
