About CB Patel Arts College

C. B. Patel Arts College, Nadiad was established in 1948, under the management of Nadiad Educational Society. It is affiliated to Gujarat University and accredited with ‘B+’ Certificate by NAAC. The college mission is to promote higher education in our society for all the castes. The college main philosophy is to prepare students with higher skills and attitudes for society. The college is located at Nadiad, beside Ahemdabad National Highway No-8 and 55 Km. away from Ahemdabad by bus and train.

NSS - The NSS unit of the college performed following activities in year 2011-2012

Trees were planted at Kanjoda, Bhumel and college campus
On 15th August after hoisting flag students watched exhibition organized by Gujarat Rajya Abhilekhagar
Volunteers visited "Jalaram, Gharda Ghar" - 'Jivansandhya Palace' at Pij
Four days Yogashivir was organized in college in which volunteers took part

Facilities

Classrooms	All the 20 classrooms are well furnished and equipped with modern facilities.
Computer Centre	Wifi enabled computer centre has 50 PC’s and 20 LAN terminals.
Library	The college library has 45000 textbooks and reference books. It is also subscribed to 30 magazines and 15 journals.
Hostel	The hostel is available for both boys and girls with seating capacity of 300 male students and 200 female students.

Sports Achievements

In the National Level Inter University Hand Ball Competition, 2 girl students of the college represented Gujarat University at Tamilnadu and Gauhati
In the National Level Wrestling Competition, the college students won Bronze Medal at Sports Complex, Nadiad
In The Inter University Cricket Competition, 2 students represented Gujarat University at Udaipur (Rajasthan) 2008-09
In the National Level Inter University Wrestling Tournament at Rohtak (Haryana), the college students represented Gujarat University.
