Government Degree College - [GDC]

Government Degree College (GDC) was established in 1989. Beside academic courses at graduate, post graduate level and various jobs oriented professional courses are also running in the College. The students of college are raising flags in NSS, sports and other fields. Begin in the course with the admission in the college July. The Government has fixed highly concessional fee for the course. For maintaining the quality of the course, the government has fixed high standards of the laboratories and human resources.

The Government of Uttarakhand took a decision to launch a professional computer training programme named 'Shikhar' from the year 2003 to make the higher education employment oriented. The project conceptualizes to impart professional computer training to the university level students along with their normal degrees so they can easily get employment.    Under the project an institution APTECH has established a Centre for imparting computer training in the college. This Centre is offering ACCP World Programme of APTECH to the college students. The text books for the training are being made available by the institution free of cost. After completion of the training, certificates are provided by APTECH.
