Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya (GKV), Haridwar is a public university established in 1902, accredited by NAAC and recognized by UGC. GKV Admissions are done based on the candidate’s performance in the previous qualifying examination as well as on the basis of the state and national level entrance exams. GKV, Haridwar offers numerous scholarships for meritorious students. Scholarship is awarded to meritorious students of MA Philosophy and Sanskrit. The details of the scholarships offered are given below:

Scholarship is awarded only to those students of MA Vedic Literature who have passed the last examination of Vedalankar, Vidyalankar, Shastri, Acharya or BA with Sanskrit.
Poor and brilliant students of Vedalankar (BA Hons. Veda) I, II, and III shall be awarded Rai Bahadur Shiv Charan Das Sabarwal Scholarship of INR 5,000 per annum per student (3 scholarships).
Poor and brilliant students of Vedalankar (BA Hons. Veda) and MA (Vedic Literature) shall be awarded Dr. Tulsiram Rambai Charitable Scholarships per year following details:
- Vedalankar (BA Hons. Veda) First year (3 students) INR 600 per month per student & INR 1,000 per student for books.
- Vedalankar (BA Hons. Veda) Second year (3 students) INR 700 per month per student & INR 1,200 per student for books.
- Vedalankar (BA Hons. Veda) Third year (3 students) INR 800 per month per student & INR 1,400 per student for books.
- MA Vedic Literature First year (2 students) INR 900 per month per student & INR 1,500 per student for books.
